xTool X1

xTool · Hybrid

The X1 is xTool's hybrid platform, revealed in August 2026 and on sale since October 28, 2026. Every X1 has a 55W CO₂ head on a gantry (600 mm/s, cuts up to 18 mm basswood and 20 mm acrylic). The CO₂ + Diode Galvo version adds a 20W diode galvo module that moves with the gantry, engraves at up to 6,000 mm/s and is required for the optional 5W UV, 60W MOPA and 30W fiber sources. The working area is 615 × 320 mm, and an optional conveyor feeder takes material up to 3 m long. Launch prices start at $3,399 (Single CO₂) and $3,999 (CO₂ + Diode Galvo), up to $8,679 for the MOPA bundle. xTool says the first batch ships within 7 business days; no customer has received one yet and no independent test exists.

Pros
  • 55W CO₂ cuts up to 18 mm basswood and 20 mm acrylic, and the 20W diode galvo engraves at up to 6,000 mm/s in the same enclosure
  • Optional 5W UV, 60W MOPA and 30W fiber sources on the same machine, instead of buying separate galvo lasers
  • 615 × 320 mm working area, triple cameras with LiDAR ranging, AutoLift base and Class 1 safety
  • Strong on acrylic and wood versus diodes on the same budget tier
  • Integrated cabinet helps contain the beam and everyday smoke versus open-frame diodes
  • Software listed on the profile: test your workflow (LightBurn or maker app) on scrap first
Cons
  • Just launched: no customer deliveries or independent tests yet, and first-batch stock is limited
  • UV, MOPA and fiber need the diode galvo module plus each source: $5,799 to $6,679 for CO₂ + galvo + one extra source, against $3,399 for the Single CO₂
  • Large and heavy (1,000 × 580 × 420 mm, 60 kg); the area shrinks for some processes (415 × 225 mm for metal embossing) and the 3 m pass-through needs the optional conveyor feeder
  • Ventilation to the outside is mandatory for regular cutting, not an optional upgrade
  • Tube life and replacement cost are part of the true ownership budget

“Best” highlights the strongest spec on paper for that row only — not an overall buying recommendation.
