Enclosed 55W CO₂ cutting and engraving for makers already in the Bambu Lab ecosystem

The R1 is Bambu Lab's first standalone laser cutter, announced on September 22, 2026 and not yet delivered: pre-orders are open, with shipping now expected in November 2026. It is an enclosed 55W CO₂ machine with a 600 × 300 mm bed, up to 1,000 mm/s, a camera and sensor system for alignment and focus, and an optional conveyor for material up to 3 m long. Bambu Lab lists $2,499 / €2,499. Early hands-on reviews exist, but no buyer has received one yet, and specs, software and prices may still change before delivery.
