TL;DR
The Falcon A1C 10W is Creality's smallest enclosed laser: a 150 × 150 mm bed in a fully closed Class 1 box with a motorized lifting platform and auto-focus. It engraves cork, bamboo, slate, leather and plywood cleanly and cut 5 mm plywood in one pass in a hands-on test, barely. Small bed and plastic build are the trade-offs for the price.

Best for
What makes this machine stand out
Hardware and workflow features worth understanding before you buy : not just wattage on a label.
Real cutting in a compact box
Creality gives 5 mm basswood in one pass for the A1C 10W, enough for ornaments, tags and small 3 mm plywood shapes.
Lifting bed and auto-focus
The motorized platform lowers to take objects up to 148 mm tall, and auto-focus sets the height without feeler gauges.
Our verdict
Ideal if you
The 10W A1C is the version to buy if you want the enclosure for safety but still expect to cut ornaments, tags or 3 mm plywood shapes. Same box, bed and software as the 5W, with roughly twice the engraving speed on wood and real (if slow) cutting up to 5 mm.
Skip if you
The 150 × 150 mm bed is the hard limit: no signs, no cutting boards, no batches of more than a few coasters. Build is plastic, Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz only, and job time estimates ran about 25% short in independent testing.
Pros
- Cuts 5 mm basswood in one pass per Creality, confirmed with little margin in a hands-on test
- Motorized lifting bed and auto-focus for objects up to 148 mm tall
- Same Class 1 safety set as the entry version: lid interlock, flame detection, tilt sensor, USB key
Cons
- 5 mm is the limit, at slow speed: thicker stock is out of reach
- 150 × 150 mm bed: no signs or cutting boards
- Plastic build and 2.4 GHz-only Wi-Fi

Practical notes
Beginner notes
This profile is the 10W SKU of the Falcon A1C. Compare it with the 5W: pick the 10W if you want to cut thin plywood or engrave faster; the enclosure, bed and software are identical. The AI camera version costs about $30 more and cannot be added later.
Pro tips
Run the auto-focus before every job: the software does not force it. Use the presets as a starting point and test power on scrap, bamboo especially burns deeper than expected. For 5 mm plywood, slow down (around 300 mm/min at high power) and expect little margin.

Common questions
How thick can the Falcon A1C 10W cut?
Creality's A1C FAQ gives 5 mm basswood in one pass, and a hands-on review cut 5 mm plywood in one pass at 90% power and 300 mm/min with little margin. Treat 3 mm as comfortable: our benchmark cut a 10 × 10 cm square in 3 mm basswood in about 6–10 min.
Is the A1C 10W worth $100 more than the 5W?
For most buyers, yes: $369 against $269 for the basic versions on Creality's store (October 2026), faster engraving on wood (about 12–18 min against 18–26 min for a 10 × 10 cm photo in our benchmark) and real cutting up to 5 mm. Skip it only if you will never cut and every dollar counts.
Is the AI camera version worth $30 more?
If you engrave on existing objects such as coasters, wallets or tags, yes: the camera shows where the design will land. It cannot be added to the basic version later, so decide at purchase ($369 basic against $399 with camera, October 2026).
