Monport lists a maximum marking depth of 0.08 mm and a top galvo speed of 10,000 mm/s for the GT 30W; deeper engraving comes from repeated passes. In our benchmark, a filled 10 × 10 cm logo on stainless steel takes about 4–11 minutes depending on fill density.
Does the GT 30W do colour marking on stainless steel?
Not in a controlled way. It uses a Q-switched source with a fixed 80–120 ns pulse and a 30–60 kHz frequency range. Monport lists colour engraving only for the MOPA models of the GT series, which adjust pulse width from 2 to 500 ns.
GT 30W or GT 50W: which one should I buy?
