Announced September 2026
Coming soon
Monport has announced this machine but it is not shipping yet. Specs and price may still change. Expected October 2026.
TL;DR
Monport's new-generation Reno 45, listed on 20 September 2026, keeps the 400 × 300 mm bed and 45W glass tube but moves the water cooling inside (3 L tank) and adds a 470 × 7 mm front pass-through, 100 mm of Z travel and magnetic assisted focus. Basic $1,149.99 (500 mm/s, USB), Pro $1,499.99 (600 mm/s, Wi-Fi, offline panel, compatible with the 1W IR module), Vision $1,649.99 (8 MP camera). All three were on pre-order in October 2026: Pro and Vision shipping late October, Basic late November. It replaces the earlier Reno 45 Pro Vision.

What makes this machine stand out
Hardware and workflow features worth understanding before you buy : not just wattage on a label.
Water cooling now built in
The previous Reno 45 relied on an external tank. This generation carries a 3 L tank and radiator inside the chassis, which removes the bucket, pump and hoses from the desk.
A camera CO₂ under $1,700
The Vision version pairs an 8 MP full-bed camera with the 45W tube for $1,649.99 on Monport's store (October 2026, pre-order).
Our verdict
Ideal if you
The 2026 Reno 45 removes the old model's most awkward setup step, the external water tank, and lowers the price sharply. With a pass-through, 100 mm of Z travel and an optional IR module on the Pro and Vision, it covers most of what a home business needs from a first CO₂.
Skip if you
It is a pre-order with no independent review of this generation yet. The bed is modest, focus is assisted rather than automatic, the glass tube is a consumable with a 6-month warranty, and smoke must be vented outside.
Pros
- Built-in 3 L water tank replaces the external tank the previous Reno 45 needed
- Low entry price: $1,149.99 for the Basic, $1,649.99 for the camera-equipped Vision (Monport, Oct 2026)
- 470 × 7 mm front pass-through and 100 mm of Z travel for long strips and taller objects
Cons
- Pre-order only in October 2026: Pro and Vision ship late October, Basic late November
- Tube rated 3,000 h below 40% power but 900 h above 70%, with a 6-month tube warranty
- 400 × 300 mm bed: half the area of the Reno 65, which costs $450 to $1,100 more depending on version

Practical notes
Beginner notes
This profile covers the 2026 generation of the Reno 45, not the earlier Reno 45 Pro Vision. It suits a first CO₂ for gifts, signs and craft-fair products. Choose the Pro or Vision if you want Wi-Fi and the IR option; the Basic is USB-only.
Pro tips
Keep routine work under about 70% tube power to stay near Monport's longer life figures. Use the front pass-through for long strips. Duct the 100 mm exhaust outlet outside, even for short engraving jobs.

Common questions
What changed from the previous Reno 45?
Monport's own comparison lists three changes: the water cooling moves inside the machine (3 L tank, no external tank to set up), the air assist pump rises from 18 to 20 L/min and only runs during jobs, and the Pro and Vision accept a swappable 1W IR module for bare metal. The bed stays at 400 × 300 mm. The previous Reno 45 Pro Vision is no longer sold on Monport's store.
Is the new Reno 45 available now?
Not yet. In October 2026 every version was a pre-order on Monport's US store: Pro and Vision with an estimated late-October ship date, Basic late November. Monport's own product page points buyers who need a machine right away to other models.
Basic, Pro or Vision?
The Basic ($1,149.99) is USB-only, 500 mm/s, with LightBurn or LaserGRBL. The Pro ($1,499.99) adds 600 mm/s, Wi-Fi, U-disk, an offline control panel, AutoLaser and the mobile app, plus IR module compatibility. The Vision ($1,649.99) adds the 8 MP camera for placement, contour recognition and batch layouts in AutoLaser; at $150 more than the Pro, it is the version most buyers should look at first.

Monport · CO₂ · $1,600 – $2,750
The Reno 65 relaunched in September 2026 with a built-in 3 L water tank, a 600 × 400 mm bed, a 640 × 7 mm front pass-through, 100 mm of Z travel and magnetic assisted focus. One 65W glass tube, three versions: Basic ($1,599.99, 500 mm/s, USB and LightBurn only), Pro ($2,249.99, 800 mm/s, Wi-Fi, offline panel, compatible with the 1W IR module) and Vision (8 MP camera, $2,749.99). In October 2026 the Pro was listed for early-October shipping and the Basic for late November, so both are effectively pre-orders; only the Vision was shown in stock. No independent review of this generation yet.

Gweike · CO₂ · $1,659 – $2,539
Gweike Cloud Pro offers enclosed CO₂ cutting with cloud features and competitive pricing vs xTool P2. Good mid-premium CO₂ if you want LightBurn and community support. Verify local warranty before buying.

OMTech · CO₂ · $3,700
The Polar 2 70W replaces the original Polar with a much larger 710 × 360 mm bed, a 70W glass CO₂ tube cooled by an internal 4.3 L water loop, a 16 MP full-bed camera, one-touch auto-focus and a rotary in the box. It is the cutting-first, lower-cost half of the Polar 2 line; the 50W RF version engraves faster and finer. No independent long-term review yet.
