Why pay over $1,100 for a 10W enclosed machine?
You pay for the enclosure, not the cutting power: Ortur lists a Class 1 enclosure with a light-blocking viewing cover, exhaust fan, lid safety lock, emergency stop and a motorized lifting platform for objects up to 98 mm tall. Ortur's store listed the 10W at $1,109 in October 2026, but out of stock.
What can the H20 10W cut?
In our benchmarks a 10 × 10 cm square in 3 mm basswood takes about 14–24 min at 2–3 mm/s. Basswood up to about 5 mm and thin leather are possible in passes. Ortur describes this module as suited to light cutting, without thickness figures.
Start with the 10W and upgrade the module later?
The H20 takes interchangeable modules, so it is possible. Compare first: in October 2026 Ortur listed the 20W version at $1,379 with a free air pump and the 40W at $1,909. If you expect to cut weekly, the bundle gap may be cheaper than buying a second module later.
