How fast does the S9 10W cut 3 mm and 5 mm wood?
In our benchmarks a 10 × 10 cm square in 3 mm basswood takes about 6–10 min at 3–8 mm/s. Around 5 mm basswood is the practical limit in one or two passes with air assist. Sculpfun's claim of 15 mm wood relies on many slow passes, and plywood cuts slower than basswood because of its glue layers.
Is the extra money over the S9 5W worth it?
