Coming soon
LaserPecker has announced this machine but it is not shipping yet. Specs and price may still change.
TL;DR
The U1 is a LaserPecker UV engraver shown at IFA in Berlin in September 2026 and not yet on sale. It comes in 5W and 10W UV versions; LaserPecker says the 10W cuts glass and engraves deeper. The pitch is automation: sensor-based auto-focus that finds crystal for inner engraving, surface scanning for curved objects, and a single lens for inner and surface work, in a Class 1 enclosure. LaserPecker plans sales on its own website in Q4 2026. Price, work area, wavelength and speed are not published yet, and everything may change before launch.
Best for
What makes this machine stand out
Hardware and workflow features worth understanding before you buy : not just wattage on a label.
Automatic focus on crystal
A sensor-based auto-focus detects the crystal block and sets focus for inner engraving with little manual setup.
Curved surface mapping
The U1 scans irregular and curved objects, maps their shape and adjusts the focal length for 3D engraving.
Our verdict
Ideal if you
LaserPecker aims the U1 at the hardest part of UV work on glass: finding focus on transparent material and on curved surfaces. Automatic crystal detection, surface mapping and lens recognition could make inner engraving accessible to people who do not want to tune parameters by hand, and the Class 1 enclosure suits a shop or a home studio.
Skip if you
Almost nothing measurable is public yet: no price, work area, wavelength, speed or inner-engraving volume. LaserPecker's earlier machines were compact and app-driven; how the U1 compares with established enclosed UV galvos will only be clear once it ships and is tested.
Pros
- Sensor auto-focus that detects crystal for inner engraving with little manual setup
- Surface scanning maps curved and irregular objects and adjusts focus for 3D engraving
- One lens for inner and surface work, with automatic lens recognition, in a Class 1 enclosure
Cons
- Not on sale yet: LaserPecker only gives Q4 2026, with no exact date
- No independent test; the only hands-on reports come from trade-show demos

Practical notes
Beginner notes
This profile covers both announced versions of the U1, 5W and 10W, because LaserPecker has not published enough detail to tell them apart beyond power. If you need a UV laser now, the xTool F2 Ultra UV and Commarker Omni X UV are already on sale with published specs.
Pro tips
Wait for the work area and the price of each version before deciding: inner-engraving volume and cutting ability matter more than wattage for crystal products. Ask for sample engravings on your own blocks once demo units reach resellers.

Common questions
When will the LaserPecker U1 be available, and at what price?
LaserPecker says the U1 should go on sale through its official website in the fourth quarter of 2026, with more details to come. No price has been announced as of October 2026. Specs, versions and timing may change before launch.
5W or 10W?
LaserPecker describes the 10W version as more powerful, able to cut glass and engrave deeper, while keeping cold UV processing. It has not published separate work areas, speeds or prices, so we cannot compare the two versions in more detail yet.
Can the U1 engrave inside crystal?
Yes, according to LaserPecker. Its sensor-based auto-focus detects the crystal and sets focus for inner engraving, and the same lens handles inner and surface work. The size of the inner-engraving volume has not been published.
Alternatives to the LaserPecker U1

xTool · UV · $4,299 – $5,959
The F2 Ultra UV is the UV version of xTool's F2 Ultra: a single 5W 355 nm UV source on a galvo, in the same enclosed body, with a 200 × 200 mm field and two 48 MP cameras. Cold processing marks glass, crystal, plastics, ceramics and heat-sensitive materials without burnt edges, and a second lens engraves 3D images inside crystal blocks up to 70 × 70 mm. It is slow for deep engraving and not built for cutting. Not to be confused with the F2 Ultra, which pairs a 60W MOPA fiber with a 40W diode.

ComMarker · UV · $3,599 – $7,059
ComMarker Omni X uses UV wavelength for cold marking on glass, some plastics, and delicate materials without as much heat damage as fiber or CO₂. Slower than fiber on metal: different tool for different materials.
