Creality rates it at 10 mm basswood in one pass and 0.1 mm thin metal sheet; its own settings guide uses full power at 700 mm/min for 2 mm basswood. Our materials list stays at about 8 mm for clean, repeatable cuts.
Falcon2 22W or 12W?
The 22W is the current model and fills a 10 × 10 cm photo in about 12–18 min against 17–26 min for the 12W in our benchmark. The 12W is discontinued; unless you find one used for far less, take the 22W.
Is the 22W enough, or should I look at a 40W?
For ornaments, boxes in 3–6 mm plywood and engraving, the 22W is enough. Creality also sells a Falcon2 40W ($639 single unit, $739 Basic Kit in October 2026, against $589 for the 22W Basic Kit); it is worth the extra if you cut 10 mm stock every week.
